A cyclist was gunned down by an unidentified assailant in Loon town on Sunday afternoon.
According to Police Corporal Dave Vincent Solon of Loon police station, a man on his bicycle was shot dead at around 12 noon in Barangay Pondol.
The cyclist identified later as Nestor Calacar, a resident of Barangay Tawala in Panglao town, died on the spot due to gunshot wounds.
Police said they are still investigating the incident.
