A staff of Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay town had tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (Covid-19), according to Governor Arthur Yap on Saturday, Aug. 8
The patient had a direct contact with a positive patient from Bien Unido town who recently gave birth at the said hospital.
One of the twins shortly died, while the other child survived who later tested negative of the virus.
Yap said the staff was already isolated and contact tracing is now ongoing.
“Pahinumdom lang, sundon nato ang minimum health standards kanunay ug magpabilin ta sa atong panimalay kung walay importanteng lakwon sa gawas,” Yap appealed to Boholanos.
As of August 8, Bohol has 104 Covid-19 cases with 24 active cases, 74 recoveries and 5 deaths.
