Bohol Governor Arthur Yap delivered Wednesday his first State of the Province Address (SOPA) during the 166th Bohol Day celebration.
The event, which was suppposed to be a big event, was held at the New Capitol Building without fanfare since the world is marred by the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was attended by municipal mayors, heads of national agencies and selected employees.
All wore face mask and observed physical distancing
It was held during the session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol presided over by Vice Governor Rene Relampagos in a virtual session.
Yap bared his achievements and plans. It also highlighted the province’s proactive measures in addressing the pandemic.
Bohol commemorated the 166th year of the establishment of the province as a separate province from Cebu.
On July 22, 1854, Bohol was created into a politico-military province.
