Police in Tagbilaran City arrested two drug suspects, including a public school teacher, in a buy-bust operation on Friday evening, June 26, in Barangay Bool in Tagbilaran City.
P20,400 worth of illegal drugs was confiscated from Eduardo Canete Ayao, 50, a public school teacher, and a resident of Jansen Heights, Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City and Teresito Alosada Cordinillo, 55, a resident of M. Parras Extension, Purok 1, Barangay Mansasa, Tagbilaran.
Both were apprehended along G. Dangoy Street, Purok 7, Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City, at 6:40 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2020.
Initial reports from the city police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) that Cordinillo and Ayao were considered as “street level” drug pushers.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Mary Crystal Bunao Peralta, acting chief of Police, said the police have been monitoring their illegal activities.
The arrested suspects were brought to Tagbilaran City Police Station for proper booking, documentation and filing of an appropriate case in court.
