142 LSIs set to arrive today in Bohol; 150 others arrived Wednesday night

Two batches of Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) are set to arrive in Bohol today.

According to Dr. Yul Lopez, Capitol spokesman on coronavirus, a total of 142 LSIs will be arriving separately at the ports of Tubigon town and Tagbilaran City.

Ninety-five LSIs who will be arriving in Tubigon port are from the towns of Loon (46), Bien Unido (18), Dagohoy (17), and Sierra Bullones (14).

Meanwhile, the remaining 47 LSIs will be arriving at the Tagbilaran City port are from the towns of Batuan (19), Dimiao (12), Alicia (10), and Bilar (6).

On Wednesday evening, a separate batch of LSIs also safely arrived in Bohol. There were a total of 150 of them who are from the towns of Ubay (45), Catigbian (30), Balilihan (26), Pilar (14), Valencia (14), San Isidro (9), Alburquerque (7), and San Miguel (5).

As of June 3, there are a total of 559 LSIs who have come home and are now on mandatory 14-day quarantine in different facilities in the province.

LSIs are those Filipino local workers, students, foreign and local tourists stranded in various localities while in transit, and other stranded individuals.

Under the issued guidelines for LSIs, they need to secure a medical clearance and certification from the City or Municipal Health Office of where they are stranded that proves they have completed a 14-day quarantine and neither a contact, suspect, probable or confirmed COVID-19 case.

They also need to secure a Travel Authority from the Joint Task Force CV Shield which is under the Philippine National Police (PNP).
