A man was arrested for challenging the law enforcement authorities at a checkpoint in Barangay Langkis in Duero town.
Duero Police Station said the 40-year-old man was on his motorcycle when he refused to subject himself to the checkpoint in Barangay Langkis in Duero town at 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 10. Instead, he fled and challenged police to chase him.
They were able to caught up with him.
The man is now behind bars and will face charges of resisting authority and alarm and scandal.
Police appealed to the public to cooperate and understand the situation at checkpoints for their safety.
