The Cebu Provincial Government has created a Facebook page dedicated to provide financial assistance to stranded Cebuanos anywhere in the country due to the enhanced community quarantine.

Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, in her regular Facebook live presser, said this is in response to the messages they received about the plight of some Cebuanos stranded in other provinces in the country.

The “Stranded Cebuanos Assistance Center” Facebook page uploaded yesterday a downloadable form for these stranded Cebuanos.

Garcia explained that they can fill-up the form and provide the necessary details which include the reason why they got stranded.

The completed form have to be sent to them thru Messenger.

Once received, Garcia said it would still undergo verification process through the local government units and the barangays where these residents are living.

However, the lady governor clarified that Cebuanos who have already moved and lived for a certain period of years in other provinces are not eligible to avail of the assistance.

No amount was mentioned as to how much assistance that the provincial government of Cebu will be giving.

Once approved, disbursement or sending of the cash aid will be made thru their partner money remittance centers.
