Three women were arrested on Wednesday night during the implementation of the province-wide curfew to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

An alleged pimp and her two female friends were arrested on Wednesday (March 18, 2020) night during the implementation of the province-wide curfew.

The curfew required residents to be inside between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. until further notice and avoid large groups to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The pimp hurriedly went to a private vehicle that parked along the CPG Avenue to offer their services.

The pimp was unaware that they were talking to policemen and to Police Colonel Jonathan Cabal, acting police director of the Bohol Provincial Police Office, who was roving around the city.

Cabal told his men to immediately arrest the pimp and the two women.

“To my surprise sabi ko ‘hulihin na mga iyan’. What business do they have, loitering, talagang they are engaged in prostitution. Na-tsambahan ako pa natanungan when I was doing the rounds,” Cabal said.

The pimp said she was drunk and forgot there was a curfew.

The pimp was detained at the Tagbilaran City Police Station lock-up facility for violating the curfew and human trafficking charge, while the two women were turned over to the BPPO’s Women’s and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD).

Cabal appealed to Bohol residents to stay at their homes.
