Bohol Governor Art Yap said that the old Tagbilaran Aiport and the Capitol Annex will be utilized as isolation buildings to prepare for the coronoavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The old Tagbilaran Airport was decommissioned as the Panglao airport was operated in 2018, while operations from the Capitol Annex were transferred to the New Capitol Building.
Yap said that in case if there will be infected persons due to the COVID-19 in the province, these can be utilized aside from hospitals.

“If you are middle aged or whatever, then the survival rate is more than 50%. It is the immunocompromised from 60 to 80 years old that we have to take care of,” he said.
Yap, who said the COVID-19 moves fast, stated data that at least 128,343 people around the world have been infected with the coronavirus as of Thursday, and at least 4,720 have died.
The World Health Organization declared it a pandemic on Wednesday.
Bohol will be placed on “community quarantine” for at least five days to contain the spread of the (COVID-19) in the country.

The quarantine will begin on March 16 and last until March 20, 2020.
Visitors who are coming to Bohol on March 16-20, 2020 will not be welcomed in Bohol.
“We need undivided attention that is the reason why we are not accepting any visitors because we have to focus we want to prepare for the worse,” he said.
