7 fall as drug den ‘dismantled’ in Tagbilaran buy-bust

Anti-narcotics operatives dismantled Wednesday afternoon a drug den and arrested seven suspected pushers and users in an operation in Tagbilaran City.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bohol said they discovered the drug den during a buy-bust around 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, in Upper Calceta Street, Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

Seven suspects were arrested. They were Anecito C. Laway, 27; Rey J. Santarosa, 27; Noel E. James, 51; Uriel B. Dahilan, 59; Diomedesa J. Santarosa, 46; and Julito L. Caturnay, 46; and a female minor.

Confiscated during the said operation were thirty (30) sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 5 grams with an estimated street market value of P34,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Cases for violation of Section 5 in relation to Section 26 para b, Section 6, Section 7, Section 11, and Section 12, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
