Former educator and Tagbilaran City Councilor Leonora Pamaong-Dela Torre died on Tuesday, November 5.

She was 92.

Her niece Betty Pamaong-Tinio confirmed her death on her Facebook post.

“I am truly saddened of the loss of our most beloved Auntie Nora ( Leonora Pamaong Dela Torre) – My second mother – She is so considerate & extra kind-.Who gave extra ordinary kind of love to her nieces & nephews-She always tell their memorable stories about my father when they were young.-She gave you a shoulder to lean,” she posted on Facebook.

As a councilor, she was known for her dedication that earned her respect with her colleagues.

Before she entered politics, Dela Torre was principal of Tagbilaran City Central Elementary School. She was then promoted as educational supervisor until her retirement in 1991.
