A drug bust operation in Tubigon town Friday yielded over P340,000 worth of suspected shabu and marijuana stalks.

Personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) failed to arrest the suspect Michael Zarate who escaped during the operation at 4 p.m. on Friday, September 6, 2019.
Zarate, a resident of of Ilijan Norte in Tubigon, is a high value target.
Authorities seized 13 sachets of suspected shabu and two packs of dried marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The drugs confiscated were estimated to be worth about P340,000.
Zarate’s cohorts identified as Jaime Josol and Marvin Encargis, both residents of Barangay Ilijan Norte in Tubigon town were arrested during the operation.
Authorities also discovered five fully-grown marijuana plants at the back of Zarate’s house.
The suspects were detained at Tubigon Police Station pending the filing of drug charges against them.
