A seaman will be charged with double-murder for the death of his in-laws in Inabanga town, Bohol on Monday night.
Police Senior Master Sergeant Mitchell Nioda, case investigator at the Inabanga Police Station, identified the suspect as Romulo “Jun-Jun” Logroño Jr..
Logroño, 31, apparently had heated arguments with his parents-in-law leading to the shooting,” Nioda said.
Logroño’s wife works abroad, while Logroño was on vacation from work last January.
Nioda said that at 7 p.m. on Monday, Logroño went to his mother-in-law’s house in Barangay Cainsican in Inabanga town.
“Wala man siya kagustuhi sa pamilya sa iyang asawa tungod sa iyang pagkapalahubog, barkadista, sugarol ug tiggamit og illegal nga droga,” said Nioda.
When his mother-in-law, Florenda Anzano, 51, opened the door, he pulled his .45 caliber and shot her, police report said.
He also shot his sister-in-law’s husband (bilas), Jurem Steven Ceniza , 27, who was also inside the house.
Anazano’s husband was able to flee and ask for help.
The suspect fled to Lonoy Roma in Inabanga to hide. After four hours, he was arrested via a hot pursuit operation by the Inabanga police.
