A man believed to be suffering from mental illness disrupted the slumber of residents in Barangay Canjulao, Jagna town, Bohol on Friday evening.
According to a responder, residents saw the man went up a coconut tree at 11p.m.
Police personnel from Jagna Municipal Police Station tried to convince him to go down for more than three hours.
Police sought the assistance of the municipal responders just in case he attempts to jump.
When the responders arrived at the area at around 2a.m., the man was still there.
He safely went down at almost 3a.m.
The man is now back home with his family.
