Bohol boosts Bayongan Dam aquaculture with new fish cages, tilapia fingerlings

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the National Irrigation Administration (NIA), in partnership with the Bohol provincial government, turned over high-density polyethylene (HDPE) fish cages and stocked tilapia fingerlings at Bayongan Dam in San Miguel town ahead of fingerling stocking at a province-owned facility in Ubay town on Aug. 20.

BFAR, NIA release 150K tilapia fingerlings in Malinao dam

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the National Irrigation Administration Region VII- Bohol Integrated Irrigation System (NIA Region VII-BIIS) on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, released some 150,000 tilapia fingerlings into Malinao Dam in Pilar town, Bohol
as part of their continuing efforts to revitalize the aquaculture industry.
