NGCP hits its deadline anew, restores power as set Apr 18

This as the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) finished in record time, restoring the four steel towers stringing the 138 kilovolt (KV) line along the Ormoc-Maasin stretch, which were damaged by typhoon Agaton, a little over midnight, April 11.

NGCP completes restoration of Agaton-affected line

Power transmission services in Bohol are now restored after NGCP energized the Ormoc-Maasin 138kV line 2 at 7:31PM on 17 April and the Maasin-Ubay 138kV line linking Leyte to Bohol, at 10:14AM today, 18 April, respectively.

NGCP conducts restoration works for Agaton-affected towers

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) is conducting restoration works in accessible sites for the four (4) steel towers damaged by Tropical Cyclone Agaton. These towers located at Brgy. Bunga, Baybay, Leyte – components of the Ormoc-Maasin 138kV line – were affected by a landslide in the area.

BOHECO: nearly 29,000 wrecked households can’t be reenergized

Even if Bohol Electric Cooperative I (BOHECO-1) can finish fixing its last served lateral lines as planned on April 15, and even if the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) can restore the ruined power lines that transmit geothermal power from Leyte, some 28,395 households might still not get their active power connections.
