UBAY, Bohol — A lineman employed by the Bohol II Electric Cooperative (Boheco II) died after being accidentally electrocuted while conducting repair work on a power mainline in Barangay Ilihan, Ubay town on Sunday morning, May 10.
The fatal incident occurred past 8 a.m., according to initial reports gathered from authorities.
Emergency responders from TARSIER 117 Ubay immediately responded to the scene, but the victim, who was reportedly a resident of Alicia town, had already died before medical assistance could be administered.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the victim as of this writing.
Initial investigation showed that the lineman was performing maintenance and repair work on the electrical line when the accident happened.
Police and other concerned agencies are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the incident.
