TAGBILARAN CITY — A Boholana working overseas in Saudi Arabia has died at a private hospital in Riyadh, leaving behind three young children.

Katrina Sajulga, a resident of Barangay Abachanan, Sierra Bullones, passed away at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Rayyan Hospital, according to local authorities.

She was a mother of three and had lost both her husband and mother prior to her death.

Mariam Sajulga, a relative, shared on Facebook that she had urged Katrina to stay strong while hospitalized.

The Public Employment and Service Office (PESO) in Sierra Bullones confirmed Sajulga’s passing and said it is still investigating the exact circumstances surrounding her sudden death.

Based on social media posts, the victim reportedly experienced a sudden fever and weakness that led to her admission to the hospital, where she later died. Some acquaintances have expressed doubts about the suddenness of her passing.

Sajulga’s three minor children are now left in the care of their father, who is also a widower.

Peso Sierra Bullones is coordinating efforts to assist the family and facilitate the repatriation of Sajulga’s remains to Bohol.
