Classes suspended in Bohol on Feb. 5–6 as Tropical Depression Basyang approaches

TAGBILARAN CITY—Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado has ordered the suspension of classes at all levels in both public and private schools across Bohol on Thursday, February 5, and Friday, February 6, as Tropical Depression Basyang threatens the province.

The suspension is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of students amid forecasts of heavy rains and strong winds.


Aumentado urged students to stay at home and remain vigilant while authorities continue monitoring the storm.


Provincial disaster management officials are on high alert, coordinating preparations to address possible flooding, landslides, and other hazards that may affect communities across Bohol.
