CLARIN, Bohol — Police are still investigating a shooting incident that left a man wounded outside the Clarin Cockpit Arena in Clarin, Bohol on Sunday evening, January 25, 2026.
The victim was identified as Meljun Navarro, a resident of Sagbayan, Bohol.
Initial police reports said Navarro was shot by an unidentified suspect at around 6 p.m. in the outer area of the Clarin Arena.
After being hit, Navarro ran inside the cockpit to seek help, prompting bystanders to immediately assist him and call for police and medical aid.
Navarro sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg and was immediately brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. He is currently recovering, according to authorities.
Police have yet to determine the motive behind the attack and are continuing their investigation to identify and locate the suspect.
