TAGBILARAN CITY — A week-long anti-criminality campaign by the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) led to the confiscation of P609,212 worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 39 suspects from November 10 to 16.
Police said 16 anti-drug operations yielded 89.59 grams of suspected shabu and resulted in the arrest of 17 drug personalities.
Authorities also seized or recovered 11 loose firearms in four operations, while one person was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm.
During the same period, police arrested six wanted persons and three individuals listed as most wanted in the province.
An intensified crackdown on illegal gambling led to six operations, the arrest of 12 suspects, and the confiscation of P1,213 in bet money.
BPPO director Col. Patricio Degay Jr. commended the operatives for their sustained efforts, saying the results reflect the PNP’s commitment to ensuring a safer and more secure Bohol.
