An anonymous post on social media has stirred public concern after alleging that teachers from a school near the port and church in Tubigon have been engaging in inappropriate behavior with students.
The post, shared on Reddit under the username “Serious-Dentist-4081,” accused some teachers of “preying on students,” claiming that the misconduct had been happening “for years” without being addressed. The writer alleged that certain teachers were seen being overly familiar with students and even contacting them online.
Another separate post was titled “Home of the champions or Home of pedophiles?” and accused unnamed teachers from a school “near a port and church” of “preying on students” for years. The author claimed that teachers had been seen “flirting or being intimate” with students and described the behavior as “grooming.”
While the post did not specifically name the school, online users quickly speculated on its identity, leading to widespread discussion across various social media platforms.
In response, Holy Cross Academy of Tubigon issued an official statement on Tuesday acknowledging the reports circulating online concerning alleged faculty misconduct.
“The school is taking the matter seriously and has initiated appropriate actions in coordination with government agencies, in accordance with established child protection and due process protocols,” the statement read.
Rev. Msgr. Harold Anthony S. Parilla, the school’s director, emphasized that the academy “does not condone or tolerate any form of abuse or misconduct” and appealed for “discretion and prudence” while investigations are ongoing.
The school also urged anyone with relevant information to cooperate with proper authorities to ensure that “the truth is fully and fairly established.”
As of press time, local authorities have yet to release any official findings related to the social media claims.
