TAGBILARAN CITY- Bohol Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado on Friday personally visited the fire victims in Purok 7, Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City to deliver relief goods prepared by the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
The governor directed the PSWDO to fast-track the financial assistance — P10,000 for families whose homes were totally damaged and P5,000 for those partially damaged.
Provincial Health Office (PHO) staff also distributed storage containers to help affected families secure their belongings.
“In your time of hardship, we are here to help you recover quickly,” Aumentado said, reminding everyone to always observe fire safety and vigilance.
Eight houses were destroyed on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 7, affecting 49 individuals, including a newborn baby and an 11-month-old child.
