P6.1M worth of shabu seized in Tagbilaran City buy-bust

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – Police seized P6.1 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Tagbilaran City Drug Enforcement Unit in Barangay Bool on Tuesday, Sept. 23.

Authorities identified the suspects as Romeo Atuel, 31, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Pag-asa, Ubay town, and Delpin Barcenal, 32, of Purok 6, Barangay Cabatang, Alicia town. Both are single.

The operation, led by Police Master Sergeant Proseso Paragoso, intercepted the suspects in Purok 8, Barangay Bool, where they were allegedly caught selling shabu.

Confiscated from the suspects were 910 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P6,188,000 based on the standard drug price.

Police also recovered from Barcenal a firearm described as a Black Widow Taurus pistol along with two live 9mm rounds.

The suspects are now under police custody and face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
