TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Third District Representative Alexie Besas- Tutor spoke out on social media against what she described as an “organized demolition job” targeting her and her family.

Tutor said critics and influencers have been spreading false claims and connecting her to national issues, which she considers beyond the scope of her duties as a legislator.

“It’s okay to criticize me in my work as congresswoman because I am confident in what I do for my constituents. But this demolition job has gone beyond politics—my children can already see the attacks,” Tutor said.

She noted that black propaganda has long been part of Bohol politics but alleged that “outsiders” who enter local politics during elections have made the political landscape “dirtier and full of drama.”

The lawmaker, who has represented the district for nearly a decade, said she has been a constant target because she is perceived as a threat. Despite personal attacks, she vowed to continue her work and stand by her principles.

“I do not sugarcoat or make false promises. I tell people directly what can and cannot be done. I work hard and I know my job as a legislator,” she said.

With the 2028 elections approaching, Tutor admitted that some are eager to see her term end, but she maintained that her focus remains on serving her constituents.

“At the end of the day, the people of the 3rd District can see the changes and improvements we’ve achieved together. My service has never been perfect, but I have never fallen short in giving my best,” she added.

Tutor urged her supporters to remain vigilant against fake news and disinformation, saying her commitment to the district remains firm despite political pressures.
