High-value drug suspect nabbed in Loon, P2-M shabu seized

LOON, Bohol – Police operatives arrested a suspected high-value drug personality and seized more than P2 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Song-on, Loon, late Wednesday night.

The suspect was identified as Jordan Lopecillo Lagura, 30, a resident of Poblacion I, Tagbilaran City.

Lagura, who is jobless and living with a partner, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. on August 20, 2025 by intelligence operatives of the Loon Municipal Police Station (MPS), Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO).

According to police, the operation stemmed from an intelligence-driven initiative based on Target Intelligence Packet (TIP) Control No. A09-2025 BPPO LOON MPS. Acting on the report, operatives led by Captain Thomas Zen  Cheung launched a buy-bust operation with proper coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) under coordination number 20002-082025-0639.

Authorities confiscated approximately 305 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P2,074,000, along with non-drug paraphernalia.

Police said the arrest adhered to standard procedures, including the use of two alternative recording devices as mandated by the Supreme Court. Lagura was read his Miranda Rights at the scene.

The suspect is facing charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The seized illegal drugs and other evidence are now in police custody for proper disposition.
