The Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), through its Provincial Information Office (PIO) led by Lt. Col. Norman L. Nuez, Chief of the Police Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU), and under the supervision of Provincial Director PCol Arnel Banzon, held a hybrid meeting with PNP social media handlers, accredited media practitioners, and PIO personnel from different police stations on August 14, 2025.

The meeting, conducted at the BPPO Conference Room and via Zoom for wider participation, aimed to enhance responsible social media practices, strengthen police–media collaboration, and ensure the timely and accurate flow of information to the public.

Discussions centered on managing online content, countering misinformation, and promoting transparency in police operations. Participants exchanged best practices and emphasized the need to uphold credibility while fostering meaningful community engagement both online and offline.

“By fostering responsible digital engagement, we are not only protecting the integrity of our institution but also ensuring that the public receives truthful and reliable information,” said Nuez.

The initiative underscores BPPO’s commitment to proactive communication, stronger police–community relations, and the effective use of both traditional and digital platforms to connect with stakeholders.
