Rep. Vanessa Aumentado turns over livelihood projects worth P1.44M in Ubay, Talibon

UBAY, BOHOL — Second District Representative Vanessa Aumentado turned over a total of P1,441,685 in livelihood assistance to various community associations in the towns of Ubay and Talibon on Thursday, July 24.

The assistance, released through livelihood checks, aims to support local fisherfolk and farmers by providing boats, fishing gear, and agricultural machinery.

In Ubay, P532,585 was given to the Union Fisherfolks and Seaweeds Association (UFSA) in Barangay Union for the purchase of a motorized boat and fishing equipment.

In Talibon, P409,100 was turned over to the Magsaysay Women’s Association in Barangay Magsaysay for farm machinery, while P500,000 was provided to the San Carlos Rural Improvement Club in Barangay San Carlos for additional farm machinery and equipment.

Rep. Aumentado expressed her gratitude to government partners who helped make the projects possible, including the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Bohol led by OIC Atty. Reina Pestillos, the Provincial Government of Bohol headed by Gov. Aris Aumentado, represented by Gilbongs Bongato, the Provincial Community Development Office (PCDO) led by Conrada Fuentes, BEPO-PESO head Vilma Yorong, and Livelihood Coordinator Lita Verenio.

She also acknowledged the support of barangay and municipal officials, including Ubay Mayor Violy Reyes and Talibon Mayor Janet Garcia.

“These projects are part of our continuing efforts to deliver meaningful programs and services that uplift the lives of hardworking Boholanos,” said Aumentado.
