CEBU CITY – The provincial government of Bohol has been recognized by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Region VII as an Outstanding Stakeholder for Collaboration and Partnership for its unwavering support in the implementation of PhilHealth programs under the National Health Insurance Program in Central Visayas.

Governor Aris Aumentado personally accepted the award during the Stakeholders’ Appreciation 2025 held on Thursday, July 17, at Radisson Blu Hotel in Mabolo, Cebu City.

The event is part of PhilHealth’s 30th anniversary celebration with the theme “Panatag Kami Dito” (We Feel Secure Here).

In her invitation to the governor, PhilHealth Regional Vice President Marjorie Cabrieto commended the province’s proactive efforts in expanding access to PhilHealth services, especially in line with Republic Act No. 11223 or the Universal Health Care (UHC) Act.

Under Aumentado’s leadership, Bohol has remained committed to delivering quality healthcare to its constituents.

“It is a great honor for our Provincial Government to be recognized,” Aumentado said, adding that ensuring a healthy population remains a top priority for Bohol, as it is a key indicator of sustainable development and progress.
