TALIBON, BOHOL — A 44-year-old man currently detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Talibon was formally served a warrant of arrest on Monday evening, June 30, for illegal possession of a firearm and violation of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban.
At around 7:30 p.m., personnel from the Inabanga Municipal Police Station’s Tracker Team, led by Police Staff Sergeant Juphil Loberternos and under the supervision of Police Captain Albert Sator, chief of police, served the arrest warrant to Marlou Omaña Podador, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Bunacan, Tubigon, Bohol.
Podador faces two charges: unlawful possession of a small firearm and ammunition, and violation of the Comelec gun ban, docketed under Criminal Case Nos. RTC-TLB-25-7609 and RTC-TLB-25-7610, respectively.
The warrant was issued on the same day, June 30, 2025, by Hon. Azucena C. Macalolot-Credo, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 101 in Talibon, Bohol.
The court recommended bail amounts of ₱120,000 for the first offense and ₱36,000 for the second.
Police said the case forms part of the ongoing enforcement of election-related gun bans and anti-illegal firearm campaigns across the province.
