Bohol Light will distribute the first round of bill deposit refunds to its local consumers in Tagbilaran City this month.
In a statement, Bohol Light said it expects to return the bill deposits of 335 eligible customers.
“We have identified 335 registered accounts that qualify for the first batch of refunds,” Bohol Light said in a statement on Sunday, Dec. 22.
These qualified consumers will receive a notice attached to their December billings with detailed instructions on how to apply for refund.
Once requirements are submitted, they can claim their refund within 30 days.
“This long-awaited action is a testament to our dedication to transparency, fairness, and upholding the rights of our customers, as mandated by the Magna Carta,” it said.
“This moment reflects our commitment to improving services under Primelectric’s leadership. We are dedicated to continuing to build a brighter future for Tagbilaran City, powered by Bohol Light,” it added.
Earlier, MORE Power President and chief executive officer Roel Castro said, these bill deposit refunds are not rewards but the consumers’ rights as stated under the Magna Carta for Residential Consumers.
