Classes on Thursday, October 24 in Bohol province have been suspended due to the effects of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami).

Gov. Aris Aumentado said that classes are suspended in all levels due to the inclement weather brought by Kristine.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) placed Bohol under Signal No. 1 in its 8 PM weather advisory.

Pagas said that Kristine developed into a severe tropical storm and is expected to make landfall in Isabela on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.

In its 8 p.m. weather bulletin, Pagasa said Kristine was located some 175 kilometers east of Echague, Isabela, moving northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour (km/h).
