The local candidates of Abante Bohol were presented on Friday during the team’s convention, led by reelectionist Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado.
Vice gubernatorial candidate Nick Besas welcomed the candidates to the convention held at the BeGrand Resort in Panglao town.
Aumentado said Abante Bohol is now the biggest political group in the province.
In 2022, he said only small group of people joined the team who believed in his vision. Now, new teams were added like Asenso Pa More, LaVan and Kumbati- referring to the slogans of district representatives.
“Akong gidala ang singgit sa matag Bol-anon aron alang sa usa ka limpyong pang gobyierno diin ang kaayuhan sa katilingban maoy akong unahon,” he said.
“Sa inyong presensya maoy naghatag og kadasig nako pagpapili og gobernador,” he said.
Former Tagbilaran Mayor Baba Yap, who was the team’s choice for first district representative, said Abante Bohol is not just a mantra but what is happening to Bohol under the Aumentado administration.
2nd district Rep. Vanessa Aumentado said
the “Team Abante Bohol has been bigger and stronger.”
“Mas maningkamot pa arun mapalapdan nato atong pagserbisyong tinud-anay, serbisyo nga maoy deserve ninyo,” she said.
3rd district Rep. Alexie Besas-Tutor said Friday’s event brought them together for the future of the province.
“We are one Bohol and your presence here today speaks of what Bohol was, what Bohol is, and what Bohol will be in the future,” said Tutor.
Candidates from different towns and city were presented except for Panglao town.
In Tagbilaran City, the Abante Tagbilaran with Atoy Torralba as the standbearer was presented.
