The provincial government of Bohol (PGBh) on Friday celebrated Family Day 2024 at the CPG Sports Complex as a highlight of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.
Carrying the theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes,” the afternoon program kicked off with a grand entrance by the seven clusters namely, Legislative Cluster (Pink), Finance Cluster (Orange), Social-Environmental Cluster (Yellow), Health Cluster (Green), Economic Cluster (Bluer), Infrastructure Cluster (Purple), and the Dev-Ad Cluster (Red).
Gracing the event were Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado and Vice Governor Tita Virtudazo Baja, who delivered messages that emphasized on the vital role of civil servants in shaping Bohol’s future.
In her welcome address, provincial administrator Asteria Caberte said, “Mopahuway sa ta sa atoang trabaho karung hapuna, atoang ipatigbabaw ang atong pagbonding sa usab-usa—sa mga kauban natu sa opisina, ug sa ubang mga departments. May today remind us of the strength that we have when we stand together as a family at the service of the Filipino people.”
Following the ceremonial opening, were the showcases of talents in the Zumba dance contest and the showcase of charm and charisma during the first ever search for Mr. PGBh 2024.
Winning the crowd and the favor of the judges, the representative from the Finance Cluster was crowned as the Mr. PGBh 2024. Meanwhile, the Infrastructure Cluster was hailed as the champion for the Zumba Dance Contest.
The crowd was also treated to performances from the P-Pop Dance Cover Video winners, featuring the Health Cluster, the winner of the Best Performance, and the Dev-Ad Cluster, who received the Most Number of Votes.
The day wrapped up with the announcement of contest winners, recognizing excellence across multiple categories, including photography, cooking, sports, and quiz competitions.
The formal program ended with a get-together dinner in each department and a live band performance by Izzlaragga.
Other attendees were chief of staff Filipina Asoy-Piollo, deputy chief of staff Oscar Francisco Valles, the provincial board members, management executive board members and representatives of the congressmen.
The Family Day 2024 was organized by the Provincial Human Resource and Management and Development Office headed by Dr. Anne Mariquit Derikito-Oppus, and was part of the month-long celebration of the Civil Service Month, which officially kicked off on September 3. (PIMO/RFP)
