The P70 million newly-completed Bohol Police Provincial Office was inaugurated and blessed on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024.
Department of Education (DepEd) Undersecretary Trygve Olaivar, Police Col. Roy Parena, Police Regional Office -7 Deputy Regional Director for Administration who represented PRO7 Regional Director PBGen. Anthony Aberin and Bohol Police Provincial Office Director Col. Lorenzo Batuan led the ribbon cutting and unveiling of the building marker.
They were joined in by Gov. Aris Aumentado, City Mayor Jane Yap, Candijay Mayor Thamar Olaivar, other other town mayors, 1st District District DPWH Engineer John Paul Gascon, lawyer Abeleon Damalerio, chief of staff of 1st District Rep. Edgar Chatto, and Yanyan Tutor who represented Rep. Alexie Besas-Tutor.
After the unveiling of the marker, Parena handed over the key of responsibility of the newly-completed building to the BPPO through Lorenzo, followed by the blessing of the building.

Batuan said the building will serve as a comfortable center and office for the policemen inensuring a peaceful and orderly situation of the province.
He then asked for the support and cooperation of everyone to maintain peace and order in the province while also addressing its present needs.
Olaivar was instrumental in the construction of the facility which was funded by former senator now DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara when he was chief of staff in his office.
Olaivar also helped BPPO to get four brand news 4×4 patrol cars for the towns of Guindulman, Sevilla, Mabini and the provincial headquarters.
In his message, Olaivar recognized the role of the PNP as the frontliner in the service especially in peace and order. He said it was appropriate to give them the right equipment and facilities as the PNP is close to his heart because his father is also a member of the organization.
