Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino is expected to visit the wake of Vice Gov. Dionisio Victor Balite on Thursday, July 25, 2024.
A source said that Tolentino will arrive on Thursday morning. He will proceed to provincial Capitol’s Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall where the wakw is held for Balite to pay his last respects.
Balite, who was acting governor, died on July 17. He will be buried on Friday afternoon, July 26, at Victoria Memorial Park.
Balite’s father, former Vice Gov. Dionisio “Dioning” Balite is a founding member of PDP-Laban, the party of Tolentino.
Tolentino has been in public service since 1986, holding positions in the legislative and executive branches of the government.
He was elected to the Philippine Senate in the 2019 elections. He is currently serving as a Senator of the Republic of the Philippines until 2025.
