The search for the Miss Governor’s Cup 2024 got off to an interesting start with the top 10 beauties hurdling the elimination round at the Calape Cultural Center and Sports Complex last April 7.
Held during the opening ceremony of the D-League Governor’s Cup Season 2, the initial 28 candidates were cut to the final ten who inched closer to this year’s crown.
The top five beauties from the East Conference (EC) Krizzia Mae Kaleel Gulay, Guindulman; Jusmin Amiel Bernales, Duero; Karyl Rich Bag-o, Garcia Hernandez; Yiesha Unice Cagol, Batuan; and Reyka Gliece Amparado, Alicia.
Completing the circle from the West Conference (WC) were Sandra Jele, Tagbilaran City; Will May Polinar, Clarin; Alyssa Mae Batino, Antequera; Karmy Jessa Jucoy, Calape; and Jellah Mae Marabilis, Carmen.
Candidates from each conference were also given special awards, including Miss Photogenic for Clarin (WC) and Duress (EC) and Best in Sportswear for Tagbilaran City (WC) and Guindulman (EC).
Jucoy of host Calape representing WC bagged both the Best in Production and Fan Favorite awards.
EC bets Jessa Fe Araiz, Miss Ubay; and Amanda Isabel Miralles, Miss Sierra Bullones, took home the Best in Production and Fan Favorite awards, respectively.
The finals of the second edition of the pageant will be held on June 12.
The Governor’s Cup and Miss Governor’s Cup are organized by the Local Government Affairs Office, the Special Events Section, and the Creatives Studio of the Governor’s Office.
Now on its second season, the tournament is part of the provincial government’s adherence to implementing holistic youth development programs through sports, as aligned with the Strategic Change Agenda.
