Sen. Bong Go visited the province of Bohol and led the distribution of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to Boholano residents held in Tagbilaran City and Cortes town on Monday, July 17, 2023.
In Tagbilaran, Go and Mayor Jane Yap led the distribution of AICS program Saulog gym. DSWD shelled out over P9 million as financial aid for 3,000 AICS beneficiaries that received P3,000 each.
Go also provided food packs, vitamins and T-shirts to all beneficiaries; as well as assistive devices to selected individuals.
The recipients included solo parents, fishermen, and tricycle drivers who have experienced crises like fire and flood incidents.
During his speech, Go thanked the Boholanos for helping him in the last elections. He also reminded the beneficiaries to spend the financial assistance they received wisely.
There was a raffle for bicycles, cellphones for the youth, and shoes.
Also present during the program were Gov. Aris Aumentado, Vice Gov. Victor Balite, Cortes Mayor Ivan Lim, Rep. Edgar Chatto, Dauis Vice Mayor Marietta Sumaylo, and former Tagbilaran City Mayor Baba Yap.

Yap thanked Go for financial help for help for several projects in Tagbilaran including the super mega superhealth center and dialysis center.
“Senator Bong Go is not only our kumpare but an adopted son of Tagbilaran as well,” Yap said.
Actor Philip Salvador joined the distribution.
Go also inspected the super mega superhealth center and dialysis center in Barangay Dao in Tagbilaran. He also went to Gov. Celestino Gallares Medical Center to check the first Malasakit Center in the province.
He also attended the commencement exercises of the BIT-International College.
Go also inspected the Cogon Public Market in Barangay Cogon in Tagbilaran
to check on the status of the construction. In 2019, Go helped the fire victims and
pledged to allocate a P30-million government fund to hasten the replacement of the facility.
