A five-year-old boy died after falling into a well in Carmen town, Bohol, according to a police report.
The child – Jun Klent Pequit Duetes – fell into the well in the village of Buenavista police in the area were informed on Tuesday morning, July 11.
Duetes was at his grandmother’ house when the incident happened on Monday.
When Duetes didn’t return, his mother Jocelyn thought the child was sleeping at his grandmother’s house.
At 6:30 a. m. on Tuesday, a certain Jona Mae Torrejos saw the lifeless body of Duetes floating in the deep well.
But he was not responding by the time rescuers reached him.
He drowned in the water, according to the municipal health office.
Police said there was no foul play on the said incident.
