Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado emerged as the second best governor in the Central Visayas in a survey conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD).
The RPMD recently conducted a nationwide survey to assess the job performance of public officials, with a specific focus on provincial governors in the Central Visayas Region.
This evaluation was based on eight vital parameters: executive leadership, policy formulation, development planning, representation and diplomacy, crisis and disaster management, oversight and accountability, administrative management, and public service delivery.
Aumentado secured the second spot with a commendable rating of 87.75%,
The “Boses bg Bayan” survey results revealed the exceptional performance of Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia who emerged as the Top Governor in the region with an impressive rating of 91.80%.
Siquijor Gov. Jake Villa achieved the fourth position with a respectable rating of 76.29%.
Although the survey in Negros Oriental had to be concluded prematurely due to safety concerns for the RPMD team, the late Gov. Roel Degamo still received a noteworthy rating of 82.31%.
These assessments hold great significance, fostering accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement in governance Dr. Paul Martinez of RPMD emphasized the importance of such evaluations in promoting best practices, identifying areas for enhancement, and building public trust.
The survey, which formed part of the comprehensive “RMPD’s Boses ng Bayan” national poll, involved the participation of 10,000 randomly selected registered voter respondents from various districts within the Central Visayas Region. With a sampling margin of error of ±1 percent and a confidence level of 95%, the survey aimed to provide an accurate reflection of public sentiment.
Through this rigorous process, RPMD aimed to uphold principles of fairness and inclusivity, providing invaluable insights into the performance of provincial governors and contributing to effective governance across the nation.
