Gov. Aris Aumentado on Thursday met with the Boholano community in Dubai in United Arab Emirates and urged them to support tourism and help the province of Bohol.

Aumentado was accompanied by his wife Bohol 2nd dist. Rep. Vanessa Aumentado. 3rd dist. Rep. Alexie Besas-Tutor and Candijay Vice Mayor Christopher Tutor were not able to attend because of a prior commitment.

Nestor Odarve, president of the United Boholanos in Emirates (UBE), and other members Nikki Ann Nuñeza of Dauis with her husband Michael from Cebu, Stella Patac of Cabog, Clarin, Liza Marie of Calape, Dr. Mariter Torres Bautista and husband Doyee Bautista of Inabanga, Amie Melecio of Corella, Vicky Anggoy of Balilihan, Joan Refamonte of Antequera, Patrick Pizarras of Cebu, Cedric of Davao and Rico Mondejar, former Killer B FM Cebu host met the Aumentados at The Catch Seafoods and Grill Restaurant in Deira City.

Aumentado acknowledged the Boholano overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) for their sacrifices and contribution to economic recovery.

Aumentado encouraged UBE members to join hands in promoting tourism, invest in Bohol, and visit back home to show the beauty of the province.

He said this would greatly help the economy recover, and this is one of the priorities of his administration.

Aumentado was part of the Philippine delegation for the 30th Arabian Travel Market held at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Earlier, Aumentado said they joined the ATM to capture the Middle East Market.
