A 58-year-old man accused of rape was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest in Barangay Poblacion, Trinidad, Bohol at around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
The accused is identified as Joselito Auza Bantilan, a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Hinlayagan Ilaya, Trinidad, Bohol.
Police said he is the No. 1 most wanted person in Trinidad town.
The suspect was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Azucena C. Macalolot-Credo of Branch 101 in Talibon, Bohol.
There was no bail recommended for two counts of qualified rape. However, the court recommended a bail of P200,000 for acts of lasciviousness.
