Bohol 1st district congressional candidate Fabio Ontong Jr on Monday announced his resignation from his group Abante Bohol.
“I am now an independent candidate,” Ontong said in a press conference.
According to Ontong, his decision came after he felt he was not part of the team headed by gubernatorial candidate Aris Aumentado.
“It never worked out… Klaro nga wala ko gidala sa Abante Bohol (as their first district congressman),” he said.
He said three proclamation rallies were conducted by Abante Bohol but “I was not informed.”
