Motorcades mark start of campaign period in Bohol

The 45-day campaign period for local candidates kicks off today, March 25.

In Bohol province, colorful motorcades and blaring sound systems marked the start of the campaign period for local candidates.

In Jagna town, the “Team Rañola-Pagar Motorcade” conducted a motorcade on Friday morning.

In a Facebook post shared by re-electionist councilor Anthony Aniscal, Jagna mayor re-electionist Joseph Rañola and his slate joined the motorcade.

In Tagbilaran City with at least 64,700 registered voters, the mayoral aspirants also had their activities to woo voters.

Both Jane Yap of “Asenso Pa More” and Councilor Dodong Polinar of “Tribu Agalon” and their slates conducted motorcades in the city’s thoroughfares on Friday afternoon.

Vice Mayor Toto Veloso and his slate, former Mayor Dan Lim and Salvio Makinano also had a purok visit.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) said all local and national candidates are now covered by campaign rules.

It also reminded candidates to still observe minimum health protocols against Covid-19.
