Boholana caretaker found dead in Cebu

Authorities said a Boholana caretaker of a compound in Barangay Sabang, Danao City in Cebu was found dead on Saturday morning, February 19.

Danao City police identified the victim as Marivic Jabonelo, of legal age, single, and from Bien Unido town in Bohol.

Corporal Mark Anthony Manulat, case inveatigator, said that Jabonelo was last seen alive on Feb.16 when she returned to the compound after getting her second dose of Covid-19 vaccine.

In an initial investigation, Alex Tamayo Gayas, the compound’s head caretaker, discovered the body when he went to check on Jabonelo after she failed to claim her salary.

Gayas told investigators that he noticed a foul smell when he went inside the shanty.

Danao City police said they will have Jabonelo’s body autopsied to determine the cause of her death. With reports from CDN Digital
