As the ’16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence’ campaign has kicked off across the globe, Gugma Tagbilaran Founder and Tagbilaran First Lady Jane Yap joined the cause to raise awareness to stop violence against women, Tuesday, November 30.

Yap together with bikers, advocates, and enthusiasts from all parts of Bohol raised banners to urge people to “Say NO to violence against women and girls”.

Other women influencers also joined the foray led by innovative entrepreneur and Director for Women Empowerment for SPARK Philippines Dalareich Polot, City PNP Chief Col. Mary Crystal Peralta, and City Administrator Cathelyn Torremocha.

Globe Telecoms gave away raffle prizes and Yap also provided snacks to all the bikers.

A Zumba session soon followed after the bikers finished the route.

The campaign to End VAW, intended to promote awareness on the forms of violence against women and girls, supports the Philippine Government’s goal of protecting the human rights of women and girls by upholding its commitment to address all forms of gender-based violence as enshrined in the 1987 Constitution.
