Bohol 2nd District Rep. Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado on Tuesday clarified the processes involved in implementing the road projects amidst the controversial barangay road in Dagohoy town.
Aumentado explained the processes in which road projects are being approved and executed, in light of the recent issue regarding a road in Barangay San Vicente, Dagohoy town which was featured on national TV.
Last Nov. 15, a certain Maricel Jumamoy complained on “Wanted sa Radyo”, hosted by broadcaster and senatorial aspirant Raffy Tulfo on Radyo5 92.3 News FM and One PH and TV5, that the barangay road was neglected.
Aumentado discussed the status of
the said infrastructure project and what procedures it has to go through before road improvement projects are being carried out on ground level.
Aumentado said that since the road was not maintained by the barangay nor by the municipality, it was difficult to look for funding to finish the 16-km road.
“Atong gihimo ang tanan ug maoy hinungdan nga sa kataas sa kalsada from San Vicente, Dagohoy going to Barangay Taming, Danai, ang atong mahimo ra gyud diha is papunduhan nato pinaagi sa FMR o farm-to-market road, proyekto sa DA,” he told reporters.
He gave P5 million pesos for road concreting and another P50 million is allocated next year.
Also present during the presscon were board member Victor Balite, Tim Butalid and lawyer Jami Aumentado Villamor.
