After being closed for more than a year because of the pandemic, Screenville Cinemas of Island City Mall and Alturas Mall will finally raise its curtains and resume showing blockbuster films on the widescreens, starting November 10.

In the latest media bulletin of the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), Screenville is among the only 8 theaters outside Metro Manila which are allowed to resume operations. Cinemas in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and other cities in Visayas and Mindanao are not yet permitted to operate as of this writing.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS FOR MOVIEGOERS:

  1. A moviegoer must be FLIIPAwAiSCINATED and must present the vax card aL Lose ticket booth.
  2. Must undergo temperature check and spray hands with alcohol upon entry
  3. Wear mask at all times; and also faceshield but remove it only when the screening starts
  4. EATING of ANY KIND OF FOODS OR SNACKS is strictly PROHIBITED inside the cinema, and ONLY BOTTLED WATER (not softdrink or juice) is ALLOWED for dire need purposes. (per DTI Memo Circular No. 21-38, Series of 2021)
  5. Observe physical distancing by sitting one seat apart.
