The House of Representatives has already approved the bill to establish more courts in Bohol province.
The lower house approved on September 8 on third and final reading House Bill 9991 entitled “An Act Creating Two (2) Additional Branches of the Regional Trial Court in the 7th Judicial Region to be stationed in Municipalities of Candijay and Valencia, Province of Bohol, and Appropriating Funds Thereof, Amending for the Purpose Section 14, Paragraph No. 129 otherwise known as ‘The Judiciary Reorganization Act of 1980’.”
Bohol 3rd district Rep. Alexie Besas-Tutor expressed her happiness that the accumulated cases will be resolved in the courts of Bohol.
The lower house will now send this already consolidated bill to the Senate specifically to the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
Tutor is hopeful that the Senate will pass the bill quickly.
