The provincial government on Saturday opened the province-run dialysis center at Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital in Talibon town.
Talibon Mayor Janette Aurestila- Garcia said there are 12 dialysis machines available to patients within the facility where treatment is free through PhilHealth.
The dialysis center can serve at least 27 patients a day.
With a dialysis center at Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital, patients will no longer to travel to Tagbilaran City for almost two hours for treatment.

“Akong dakong kalipay nga sa hingpit natuman na jud ang gipangandoy sa mga TALIBONGNON ug sa silingang lungsod nga magpa dialysis nga dili na mo byahe sa syudad,” said Garcia in a Facebook post.
The event was attended by Gov. Art C. Yap, board members Mimi Boniel, Frans Garcia and Toting Auxtero, Dr. Yul Lopez, GMPH head Miguel Jayoma.
